HEAD HOUSEKEEPER

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced housekeeper to join the team as we have just completed a full refurbishment of the bedrooms. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness in the bedrooms and public areas. The hotel has 28 rooms, 4 dining areas and a function suite. Preparing rotas, ordering supplies, checking rooms, monitoring laundry costs are all within the remit of the role. This is an operational role that requires flexibility and working weekends is essential.

RESTAURANT SUPERVISOR

We are looking for an experienced supervisor to join the restaurant team. This is a very busy F&B operation with capacity indoors for up to 120 in addition to our al fresco dining terrace and private dining room. We want staff to enjoy their time at work and this comes through in the friendly relaxed atmosphere that guests love us for. There is a real buzz about the place and requires an energetic, passionate individual who cares about quality food and offering great service.

WEDDING & EVENTS CO-ORDINATOR

Banchory Lodge is set in acres of ground on the banks of the River Dee.  It is a popular venue for weddings due to the idyllic setting allowing for ceremonies to take place outside as well as in the function suite.  The hotel also has a very busy restaurant, frequented by locals and the outside terrace area is a great place to drink and dine on those nice summer days.

We are looking for a confident, self motivated, sales driven individual with excellent organisational and administration skills.  Attention to detail is vital as is working to deadlines.  As you may be the first point of contact with potential clients, applicants must have a warm and engaging personality, excellent communication skills and be immaculately presented.You must be proficient with facebook, twitter, pinterest, mailchimp, creating excel documents, word and powerpoint.

The role involves:

  • Dealing with all enquiries professionally and to the highest standards
  • Prepare quotes, contracts and proposals for all event types
  • Conduct chase calls to secure the business and follow up calls to seek feedback after the event
  • Actively promote the hotel to maximise revenue
  • Conduct show rounds
  • Attend trade shows
  • Liaise with all departments, produce business sheets and attend weekly business meeting
  • Arrange final details appointments and costings and ensure all deposits and prepayments are received on time
  • Arrange monthly wedding open evening
  • Co-ordinate Christmas bookings and all other key events throughout the year
  • Monitor competitor activity
  • Create excel documents to track business and prepare monthly reports showing variances to previous years
  • Create and maintain databases using these to promote special events

The Person:

  • Operational experience within a hotel environment preferred
  • A passion for customer service and in particular weddings
  • Ability to sell with confidence
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Excellent IT skills and proficient with social media
